Dengue are known to lower the platelet count of patients. Even though there is no studies that support the rumor that tawa-tawa helps curing patients with dengue, there are some medical practitioners here in the philippines who are suggesting the use of tawa-tawa with dengue patients because of its miraculous effect that highers their platelet counts.
